Terms

Effective Date: 25 February 2026 Last updated: 07 March 2026

MakerPal is a marketplace and collaboration portal connecting independent makers, content creators, and customers. These Terms explain how the platform works, what each party is responsible for, and how revenue is handled. They are written to be read, not avoided.

MakerPal provides the infrastructure for product discovery, creator attribution, and revenue distribution. MakerPal:

  • Does not manufacture or sell products
  • Does not act as a seller of goods
  • Does not assume responsibility for product quality, delivery, or warranties
  • Does not guarantee any specific sales volume for makers or earnings for creators

Makers remain fully responsible for their products, including quality, fulfilment, and customer service. Creators remain fully responsible for their content. Customers purchase products from makers through the MakerPal platform.

MakerPal may be used only by individuals or entities legally capable of entering binding agreements. By using MakerPal, you confirm that:

  • You meet applicable legal age requirements in your jurisdiction
  • The information you provide is accurate and current
  • Your use of MakerPal complies with all applicable laws

MakerPal reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts in cases of breach, fraud, abuse of platform mechanics, or misuse of attribution systems.

Every sale on MakerPal is classified as one of two types:

Organic sale

No creator attribution exists at checkout. Revenue is distributed as follows:

  • Maker: 90%
  • MakerPal: 10%

Creator-connected sale

A creator referral link or code is applied at checkout. Revenue is distributed as follows:

  • Maker: 70%
  • Creator: 15%
  • MakerPal: 10%
  • Customer discount: 5% (applied at checkout, absorbed within the split)

Attribution is determined automatically by the MakerPal system based on the presence or absence of a valid creator code or referral link at the time of purchase. Each order is attributed to one creator only.

MakerPal reserves the right to adjust these percentages with advance notice to active participants.

MakerPal facilitates automated revenue distribution to makers and creators. The current payout cycle is monthly. MakerPal will provide reasonable notice if this changes.

  • Users are responsible for providing accurate and current payment details
  • MakerPal is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect payment information
  • Users remain solely responsible for their own tax obligations and reporting in their jurisdiction
  • MakerPal may withhold or adjust payouts where legally required

A clear breakdown of every sale, split, and payout is provided to makers and creators on a monthly basis.

Refund eligibility is determined by the maker's stated refund policy. Customers must contact the maker directly in the first instance for product-related refund requests.

If a transaction is refunded, disputed, or charged back:

  • All related revenue allocations to makers and creators will be reversed
  • Any amounts already paid out may be offset against future payouts
  • Creator commissions are not protected in the event of a refund or chargeback

MakerPal reserves the right to withhold payouts where a high rate of refunds or disputes is detected on an account.

Ownership remains with the original creators at all times:

  • Makers retain all rights to their product assets, images, and descriptions
  • Creators retain all rights to their content
  • MakerPal retains all rights to platform infrastructure, design, and branding

By submitting content to MakerPal, users grant MakerPal a limited, non-exclusive licence to display that content within the platform and to use it for MakerPal-related promotion. No ownership transfer occurs.

Users agree not to:

  • Manipulate or artificially inflate attribution systems, referral codes, or creator links
  • Engage in or facilitate fraudulent transactions
  • Misrepresent products, affiliations, or creator relationships
  • List products they did not personally create
  • Use MakerPal to resell or dropship third-party goods
  • Interfere with platform integrity, security, or the experience of other users

MakerPal may restrict or terminate access immediately where misuse is detected, without prior notice.

MakerPal provides platform infrastructure and is not a party to disputes between users. Responsibility is allocated as follows:

  • Product quality, delivery, or fulfilment disputes are between the customer and the maker
  • Content or collaboration disputes are between the creator and the relevant parties
  • Platform-related disputes are between the user and MakerPal

MakerPal decisions regarding platform mechanics, including attribution logic and account status, are final. Users agree to attempt good-faith resolution before escalating any platform dispute.

Use of MakerPal is also governed by the MakerPal Privacy Policy. MakerPal processes personal data only to the extent necessary to operate the platform, including:

  • Attribution tracking and payout processing
  • Fraud prevention and account security
  • Platform communications and support

MakerPal does not sell personal data to third parties.

MakerPal may update these Terms periodically. When material changes are made, active users will be notified by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.

Continued use of the platform after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of those Terms. If you do not agree with an update, you may close your account before the effective date.
