FAQs

How does MakerPal work?
MakerPal connects independent makers with creators who genuinely fit their work. As a customer, you can discover products in two ways:
  • Browse directly — explore products from independent makers and buy at the listed price
  • Through a creator — when a creator you follow shares a product, their link or code gives you a 5% discount at checkout
Either way, you are buying directly from the maker through MakerPal.
Do I get a discount if I use a creator's code?
Yes. When you apply a creator's referral code at checkout, you receive a 5% discount on your order. This is MakerPal's way of rewarding purchases that come through genuine creator recommendations.
How is revenue split when I use a creator code?
When a creator code is applied, the sale value is split as follows:
WhoShare
Maker70%
Creator15%
MakerPal10%
Your discount5%
The creator only earns when a real sale happens. No upfront fees. No fake reviews.

Real example: A maker lists a product at $100. You apply a creator code and pay $95. The maker receives $70, the creator receives $15, and MakerPal receives $10. Everyone's share comes from the original $100 — your 5% discount is absorbed by the platform.
What happens if I buy without a creator code?
You pay the full listed price. The split is simpler:
WhoShare
Maker90%
MakerPal10%
The maker keeps the majority. No creator is paid for a sale they did not drive.

Real example: A maker lists a product at $100. You buy directly. The maker receives $90. MakerPal receives $10.
Why must purchases happen through MakerPal?
All purchases go through MakerPal to ensure accurate attribution and automatic splits — so creators are paid fairly, makers receive their share on time, and discounts are applied correctly. No manual reconciliation. No disputes.
Is there any upfront cost?
No. Listing your product on MakerPal is free. You only share revenue when a sale happens. If nothing sells, nothing is owed.
What percentage do I keep on each sale?
It depends on how the sale was made:

Organic sale (no creator involved):
WhoShare
You (Maker)90%
MakerPal10%
Creator-connected sale (customer used a creator code):
WhoShare
You (Maker)70%
Creator15%
MakerPal10%
Customer discount5%
You choose which creators to collaborate with. You are never forced into a collaboration.
Who controls pricing?
You set your own prices. MakerPal never adjusts your margins or pricing strategy. The revenue splits above are calculated from whatever price you set.
Am I locked into collaborations?
No. Collaborations are flexible and non-exclusive. You can work with multiple creators or none at all.
What is the MakerPal Referral Program?
Anyone who introduces a new maker to MakerPal — a customer, another maker, or a creator — earns 1% of that maker's sales for up to 12 months.

This 1% comes out of MakerPal's platform share, not from the maker's revenue. Your percentages above do not change.
When and how do I get paid?
Payouts are processed monthly via bank transfer or PayPal. You will receive a clear breakdown of every sale — organic and creator-connected — so you always know exactly what came in and how it was split.
Can you show me a real example?
A maker lists a handmade item at $100.

If a customer buys directly (organic):
Maker receives $90. MakerPal receives $10.

If a customer buys through a creator code:
Customer pays $95 (5% discount). Maker receives $70. Creator receives $15. MakerPal receives $10.

You never pay more than 30% on a creator-connected sale — and that 30% is what paid for discovery, attribution, and the customer's incentive to buy.
Who can refer a maker?
Anyone — creators, other makers, customers, or supporters. If the maker you referred joins and starts selling, your referral share applies automatically for up to 12 months.
How much do I earn per sale?
When a customer buys through your link or code, you earn 15% of the sale value.

You only earn when a real sale happens. No upfront payments. No guaranteed fees.
Is there any upfront cost or obligation?
No. Joining MakerPal as a creator is free. You are never required to post on a schedule or commit to a number of posts.
When and how do I get paid?
Earnings are paid out monthly via bank transfer or PayPal. Your dashboard shows every sale attributed to your link or code — product, amount, your share, and payout date. No chasing invoices.
Can you show me a real example?
A maker lists a handmade item at $100. You share it with your audience and a follower uses your code.

The customer pays $95 (5% discount for using your code).
You earn $15.
The maker receives $70.
MakerPal receives $10.

The more genuine the fit between you and the product, the more likely your audience buys — and the more you earn.
Does MakerPal require specific content?
No. You present products in your own natural style. No scripts. No forced campaigns. The expectation is that you only share products you would genuinely stand behind.
Can multiple creators work with the same maker?
Yes. Each creator receives their own unique link or code, so attribution is always clear and independent.
Can multiple creators be credited for the same order?
No. Each order is attributed to one creator only. This keeps tracking transparent and prevents conflicts.
Who is MakerPal designed for?
Creators who value:
  • Genuine product fit over brand deal volume
  • Calm collaborations with independent makers
  • Long-term audience trust over short-term earnings
  • Shared upside — you win when the maker wins
MakerPal is intentionally selective. Not every creator will be the right fit — and that is by design.
